The name of this cuvée is inspired by a locality on the estate, and made with our best plots of Grenache Noir. The estate’s Grenache vines (3.8ha) are 30-60 years old.

We understood Grenache far later than we did the estate’s other varieties. By the 2011 vintage, we grasped the singular personality, in our soils, of this historic Côtes Catalanes variety.

We vinified part of the crop as a varietal cuvée, and it was after 24 months’ maturing that the Grenache revealed its secrets : amazing complexity around a core of fruit and white flowers.

The grapes are harvested by locality in three stages: mid-September for the plot at 280 metres; a week later for the plot at 370m; then late September for the estate’s highest plot, which reaches 450m.

We suggest you discover this upland Grenache : a dark robe, and immense finesse and elegance.

Serious ageing potential.
